Some tech companies are using contract work to fissure our workforce, as contract worker Yurie, a member of Alphabet Workers Union, explains. It creates a lower class of workers that don’t get things like layoff protections.

This needs to change. That’s why we developed the Protect Laid-Off Workers Act (AB 1356).
