Ken Wang
Ken Wang is an organizer by training and lawyer by trade who holds the dual role of Policy Associate with the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and Compliance Counsel with the Center for Empowered Politics (CEP).
As the Policy Associate with CELA, he works in Sacramento to advance policies to protect the working people of California. He has worked on a wide range of issues, including reigning in forced arbitration, strengthening employment law enforcement, and creating safeguards against the pervasive use of electronic monitoring and AI at work.
As the Compliance Counsel with CEP, he advises a network of grassroots community organizations across the Bay Area, including Chinese Progressive Association, Bay Rising, Oakland Rising, and their 501(c)4 counterparts on matters related to campaign finance and nonprofit tax law.
Before becoming an attorney, Ken was a worker organizer in San Francisco Chinatown, where he helped low wage immigrant workers recover back wages and improve working conditions.
