

Rosita Vivanco
Rosita Vivanco is the Chief Operating Officer at TechEquity where she oversees four pillars: organization strategy; operations, admin & finance; org culture, team leadership & management; communications, outreach & engagement. Rosita works to deeply understanding of all facets of the organization and how they connect—from people and their development to programs & processes to support initiatives. She works to increase collaboration and accountability across teams, facilitate strategic thinking, and develop management systems and procedures.
With over fifteen years of communications experience, Rosita has applied her storytelling skills to shine a light on important narratives across the nonprofit and tech space. Before joining TechEquity in 2023, Rosita served as the Head of Client Services at Walker Sands, an award-winning B2B technology marketing agency where she lead a team of project and account managers in collaborating with and improving process across sales, PR, branding, demand gen, and creative departments.
Prior to joining Walker Sands, Rosita served as Communications Director & Story Strategist for LimeRed, a UX design agency specializing in social impact. During her time at LimeRed, Rosita collaborated with the Obama Foundation, the Chicago Cultural Alliance, and the MacArthur Foundation. Rosita previously served as the Associate Director of the higher education division of the Education Practice at Communications Strategy Group (CSG). In this role, she developed and executed strategic communications campaigns for clients, which included colleges and universities, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and nonprofits—including the leading higher ed technology association, EDUCAUSE. Her past experience also includes working on George Mason University’s School of Business marketing team and at the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
Rosita holds a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University with a double major in public relations and Spanish education and a master’s degree in strategic communication from George Mason University.
